ILCARGUM® is the powder obtained by processing the carob seeds, by an highly technological plant and a thermo-mechanical process that preserve the excellent Mediterranean carob properties.
ILCARGUM® is tasteless and off-white with very high viscosity: its ability to adsorb water up to 40% makes it an excellent thickener, stabilizer, emulsifier and gelling agent.
On labels, it is indicated as E410, being a hot-soluble food additive with thickening properties. It acts as a "flour" that facilitates food processing, meeting various preparation needs. This product is gluten-free and allergen-free.
